Why Use Cloth Nappies

WHY USE CLOTH NAPPIES? Disposable nappies contain Sodium Polacrylate, Dioxin and Tributyltin.
These are substances that turn urine into a gel so it cant leak out of the disposable nappy. This is a toxic substance that can cause harm to your baby in many different ways. Dioxin was removed from Tampons because it was known to cause toxic shock syndrome! Some sources say the skin can absorb up to 48 different chemicals from disposable nappies. Research has shown disposables have been the cause of nappy rash, increase of asthma, lowering of the immune system causing higher susceptibility to urinary tract infections and possibly reducing male testicle development therefore reducing fertility.

CLOTH NAPPIES ARE BETTER FOR THE ENVIRONMENT: One baby uses between 5000 and 9000 nappies. That is between one and two tons of soiled disposables per baby!!

CLOTH NAPPIES SAVE YOU A WHOLE LOT OF MONEY! The cheapest disposables over 2.5 years will roughly cost you $3600! This is for the cheapest! Roughly you will spend $30 per week on disposables for average priced ones. This slowly adds up! Since we sell one size fits all cloth nappies you will not have to buy for different stages of your child's life.
One lot and you are done!
You might buy one weeks worth of nappies or half a weeks worth if you have a fast washing cycle going. By the time you have finished buying what you need you would have only spent $400. This will last your baby right up to toilet training and still be available for use if you have another child.

Every cloth nappy you put on your child makes a difference. If you can encourage yourself to at least use them part time you are making a difference for your child, the environment and not to mention your bank account ;-)
